I grew up a gay child from the 50's I was just a child and didn't know why I was different. Never a word was spoken concerning homosexuality and I remained quiet and different until I discovered I could sing well. It gave me a release from the burdens that racked me. I gave up being me to please everyone else. I married twice to please but ended in failure.

Three songs featured in the 2013 film The Falls: Testament of Love. His Light Will Save Me was written for the film, to function both as a Mormon hymn (in its acappella form) and as a love song between the two main characters. With My Heart Held Up High is a song I wrote back in 2005 which director Jon Garcia felt was suitable for use in the film.
